Watchlist
402 products waiting to be researched, scored by buzz and potential
An empty cell means we haven't recorded that combination yet — either nobody does it, or we haven't found them.
Case Library
The Case Library holds products we've researched and broken down: each shows who pays, what they buy and how it charges, with sources. “Well evidenced” means pricing and business results are backed by reliable sources; “Evidence pending” means the business model is clear but revenue or customers aren't confirmed yet. Products still being researched are in theWatchlist.
Hottest this week
How is heat calculated?
It counts how many different outlets and sites have covered a product recently: repeat coverage from the same outlet counts once, and newer coverage weighs more. It measures how much people are talking, not whether the product is good.
Every product on the list needs a concrete recent event (a new model, a feature, a viral moment, funding…) with the original report; mentions on aggregator sites alone don't count. Ups and downs are compared with the previous list and hidden when there's nothing to compare.

Pricing changes
Who changed prices or how they charge — the most direct sign a business model is shifting
Daily updates
What happened each day: price changes, revenue and funding, new features. When several outlets report the same story, it is listed once. Click a product to see how it makes money, or a headline to read the source.
About ChequerMap
What this is
We take today's AI products apart one by one and answer three questions: who pays, who does the work (the AI on its own, or people), and how it charges. Products that work the same way are grouped into one business model on the Model Map.
How to read it
- Model Map: across is who pays, down is who does the work, and each cell is one business model. Click a cell to list only its products below.
- Open a product to see its full breakdown, prices, business results, recent coverage and the source for every claim.
- “Well evidenced”: pricing and business results are backed by reliable sources. “Evidence pending”: the business model is clear, but revenue or customers aren't confirmed yet.
- Watchlist: products we've found but haven't finished researching.
Where the data comes from and how often it updates
Information comes from official websites, pricing pages, app stores and public coverage, and every claim links to its source. New products and news are found automatically and every source is checked before anything goes in; anything uncertain goes to human review first instead of going live. The data update time is shown at the bottom of every page.
Disclaimer
Everything here is compiled from public information for reference only and is not investment, purchasing or other advice; for prices and business results, the companies' official information prevails. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners. We have no commercial relationship with the companies mentioned; if we ever offer paid placements, they will be clearly labelled and will not affect what is listed or how it is classified. Research and code for this site are done with the help of AI (Anthropic's Claude), and the library includes Anthropic products: their heat and rankings are computed only from automatically collected coverage, and any manual change to them needs the project owner's approval.
Watchlist
The Watchlist holds products not yet in the Case Library. “Queued” means found automatically and waiting for research; “Under review” means researched but with missing or doubtful evidence, waiting for a human; “Legacy” means older cases with dated information. Once a product's business model is clear, it moves to the Case Library. Scores (0–5 each, 100 total): Buzz = how many different sites covered it in the last 7 days; Growth = coverage in the last 7 days vs the 7 before (a stand-in for search growth); Tech = a new model or architecture in the last 30 days; Business = how solid the pricing and business evidence is. Higher scores get researched first.
